Applicant Access

External (public) applicants access the AWC External Applicant Portal for their airworthiness certification needs. Applicants are required to register for user credentials for access to the AWC External Applicant Portal and provide additional user preference information to assist in communicating with the FAA. Approved applicants are able to create and update airworthiness certification applications and are given access to functionality related to those activities. Applicant authorization is validated within the AWC External Applicant Portal.

Authorization for ASKME users to the Airworthiness Certification external component is managed through the ASKME User Profile Service (UPS). The UPS holds all ASKME component access information and is a mission-critical component to the ASKME environment. Applicants are granted authorization within the AWC Applicant Portal according to authorization information held in ASKME UPS.

Once you have been approved access to the AWC External Applicant Portal, you use the My Profile option in the application to update your Applicant account; see My Profile.
