Owner Certification

The Owner's Certification page allows you to certify that you are either the owner or the owner's agent of the aircraft for which the Airworthiness Certification is being sought, that the aircraft is registered with the FAA, that the aircraft has been inspected and found airworthy and eligible for the certificate requested.

You access this page, after completing the Aircraft Registration page, in any of the following fashions:

At the top of the FAA header, Help, User Guide, and References links are displayed in the right corner along with a Signout link. The Help link opens page-specific help for the current page. The User Guide link opens the Airworthiness Certification Applicant User Guide, which is the secondary resource for Airworthiness Certification Applicant Portal application user procedures and reference information. The References link opens a page allowing you to access FAA reference data relevant to Airworthiness Certification. The Signout link logs you out of the application and takes you to the System Use Notice. At the bottom of the FAA header, your name displays right justified along with a Person icon (); clicking the icon displays a pop-up screen with a list of the roles assigned to you.

Below the application data tabs display with links to the various pages in the application process. The tabs are color coded indicating whether the pages under that tab are complete (green), in progress (yellow) or not yet started (red). Those pages with required fields are marked with icons indicating completed (), in progress (), or not yet started ()

Enter the Owner's Certification Information

To enter the owner certification information, follow the steps below. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).

  1. Specify whether this is an original or recurrent airworthiness application by selecting the appropriate radio button, Original or Recurrent.
  1. Click the calendar icon or use manual entry to specify the Application Date.
  2. Enter the first name of the owner or agent (as recorded on Form 8130.6) in the First Name field.
  3. Enter the middle name of the owner or agent (as recorded on Form 8130.6) in the Middle Name field.
  4. Enter the last name of the owner or agent (as recorded on Form 8130.6) in the Last Name field.
  5. Enter the title of the owner or agent (as recorded on Form 8130.6) in the Title field (e.g,, Owner or Agent).
  6. Specify whether the individual listed is the owner or agent by selecting the appropriate radio button for Is Agent or Owner.
  7. Click Save. The following declaration may be displayed, depending on the certificate type. If so, you must click I agree to proceed
  1. Alternatively; click Save & Next to proceed to the Project Documents page after agreeing to the above declaration; see Project Documents.

At the bottom of the page there is a reminder to upload the completed and signed Form 8130.6 under the Documents link as well as a copy of the Agent Letter if the applicant is acting as an agent. These reminders will also appear on the Documents page
