SFP Flight Description and Crew

For non-production flights,you use the SFP Flight Description and Crew page to specify the nature, destination, date and duration applicable to the Special Flight Permit for which you are applying.

You access this page, after completing the SFP Questionnaire to create the SFP application, in the following fashions.

• From the SFP Certificate Requested page, after having completed the required fields, click Save & Next. The SFP Flight Description/Crew page displays.
• From the My AWC landing page, select the Special Flight Permit link in the My Applications bucket. The Special Flight Permits list at the bottom of the screen displays your current special flight permit applications. Select the applicable application by clicking on the Number hyperlink. The SFP Questionnaire page displays. Select the FlightDesc/Crew link from the third-tier menu. The SFP Flight Description page displays.

Special Note: The data on this page displays as read only when the application status is canceled, closed or withdrawn.

At the top of the FAA header, Help, User Guide, and References links are displayed in the right corner along with a Signout link. The Help link opens page-specific help for the current page. The User Guide link opens the Airworthiness Certification Applicant User Guide, which is the secondary resource for Airworthiness Certification Applicant Portal application user procedures and reference information. The References link opens a page allowing you to access FAA reference data relevant to Airworthiness Certification. The Signout link logs you out of the application and takes you to the System Use Notice. At the bottom of the FAA header, your name displays right justified along with a Person icon (); clicking the icon displays a pop-up screen with a list of the roles assigned to you.

The Airworthiness Certification application navigation top-level menu bar displays just below the title bar and contains the links that provide access to the Airworthiness Certification commands, or functions: My AWC, Search, Reports and My Profile.

Below the top-level menu bar is a block showing the following application information.

Below the application data tabs display with links to the various pages in the application process. The tabs are color coded indicating whether the pages under that tab are complete (green), in progress (yellow) or not yet started (red). Those pages with required fields are marked with icons indicating completed (), in progress (), or not yet started ().

The SFP Flight Description and Crew page name appears below the tabbed menu.

Enter Flight Information

To enter the flight information, follow the steps below. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (* on the page.

1. In the From text box, specify the point of departure for the flight.
2. In the To text box, specify the destination of the flight.
3. In the Via text box, specify the city or airport for any intermediate stops; leave blank if no such stops are planned.
4. In the Departure Date field, use the calendar icon or manual entry to specify the departure date.
5. In the Duration field, specify the duration of the flight.
6. From the Crew drop-down list, select the crew present on the flight. The choices include the following. The Pilot must be selected.

• Pilot
• Co-pilot
• Flight Engineer
• Other

7. If Other selected, specify the crew member in the Crew Other text box.
8. Click Save to save your data entries or Save & Next to save your entries and proceed to the next page. Click Reset before clicking save to clear all entries.
