Aircraft Location

The Aircraft Location page allows you to enter the aircraft location information for an airworthiness certificate. You can access this page, after completing the Aircraft Registration page, in any of the following ways:

• From the Aircraft Registration page for Standard Certificates/Special Certificates/Special Flight (Light-Sport) Aircraft Permits, after having entered the required registration information, click Save & Next. The Aircraft Location page displays.
• From the Aircraft Description page for SFP Non-Production Flights, after having entered the required registration and owner information, click Save & Next. The Aircraft Location page displays.
• From the My AWC landing page, select the My Applications folder at the bottom of the screen to display your current applications. Select the applicable application by clicking on the Application Number hyperlink. The first page of the registration process displays. Select the Aircraft Location link from the third-tier menu. The Aircraft Location page displays.
• From the My AWC landing page, select the New Applications link in the My Applications panel. The New Applications folder at the bottom of the screen displays your current Standard and Special applications. Select the applicable application by clicking on the Application Number link. The Aircraft Registration page displays. Select the Aircraft Location link from the third-tier menu. The Aircraft Location page displays

Special Note: The data on this page displays as read only when the application status is Canceled, Closed or Withdrawn.

At the top of the FAA header, Help, User Guide, and References links are displayed in the right corner along with a Signout link. The Help link opens page-specific help for the current page. The User Guide link opens the Airworthiness Certification Applicant User Guide, which is the secondary resource for Airworthiness Certification Applicant Portal application user procedures and reference information. The References link opens a page allowing you to access FAA reference data relevant to airworthiness certification. The Signout link logs you out of the application and takes you to the System Use Notice. At the bottom of the FAA header, your name displays right justified along with a Person icon (); clicking the icon displays a pop-up screen with a list of the roles assigned to you.

The Airworthiness Certification application navigation top-level menu bar displays just below the title bar and contains the links that provide access to the Airworthiness Certification commands, or functions: My AWC, Search, Reports and My Profile.

Below the top-level menu bar is an application data block showing the following information:

Below the application data tabs display with links to the various pages in the application process. The tabs are color coded indicating whether the pages under that tab are complete (green), in progress (yellow) or not yet started (red). Those pages with required fields are marked with icons indicating completed (), in progress (), or not yet started ().

The Aircraft Location section name appears below the application data block.

Enter Aircraft Location

To enter the aircraft location information, follow the steps below. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).

1. If applicable, enter the name of the facility where the aircraft is housed in the Facility Name text box.
2. Enter the name of the nearest airport in the Nearest Airport Name text box.
3. Enter the street address of the aircraft location in the Address(1) and, if needed, Address(2) text boxes.
4. Enter the city where the aircraft is located in the City text box.
5. Select the state where the aircraft is located from the State drop-down list.

• The label for this field changes to Province if a country other than the United States is selected.

6. Enter the five- or nine-digit zip code where the aircraft is located in the Zip Code text boxes.

• The label for this field changes to Postal Code if a country other than the United States is selected.

7. Select the country where the aircraft is located from the Country drop-down list.
8. If known, enter the point of contact for the facility where the aircraft is located in the Facility POC text box.
9. If known, enter the phone number of the point of contact for the facility where the aircraft is located in the POC Phone Number text box.
10. If needed, enter directions to the facility where the aircraft is located in the Directions text box.
11. Click Save. If all the required fields have been completed, a green check mark appears next to Aircraft Location indicating that this section has been completed.

• Alternatively, you can click Save & Next to save the data on this page and move to the next page in the application process. For a new or amended certificate, the Certificate Requested page displays. See Certificate Requested.
• Click Reset before clicking Save to clear your entries.
